Brace Yourselves

The other day I was telling someone how we need to get Bruce Campbell in for an author signing. I REALLY want him to come. We have authors ALL the time, we should be able to get someone who lives in Oregon.
But no luck so far...sorry, I hope I didn't get you too excited.
What you have to brace yourselves for is...

THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO DO NOT KNOW WHO BRUCE IS!!!
I found it hard to believe as well. I tried to explain about Evil Dead and it's cult following, but then they just thought that he wrote about cults. And they didn't like that, I wouldn't either.
Then when I tried to explain about how the movie was SUPPOSED to be scary, but it was just campy instead.
AND THEY DIDN'T KNOW WHAT CAMPY MEANT?
What???
Is this a new word?
I am constantly using words that people question me on. Once we had a lively discussion on if "dowdy" was a word and I was right. It totally is.
Maybe I should not expect vocabulary from accountants?

Ariel - It's crazy. Completely. People are dumb sometimes.

Recycled Illusions - BRUCE seminar. That would rock. I want them to have him come and sign books. Man, he's in MOVIES! He's famous, and I would like to think he'd do it. But maybe he charges fees and stuff. =S
I still haven't got a response from our author events person.

I might have to stop the anonymous comments. Apparently the only people who leave them are going to form snap judgements of me based on how I look, and since I can't go and read their blog or anything, it really doesn't seem far, since I can't even try to read their stuff and see if they are reasonable people. Today is the day, we break free.

Today I am 26 and 50 weeks and one day old. Which means in two weeks it will be my birthday. That's really what I was getting at, LOL. You know how people on TV are always having their birthdays forgotten? Not me, I inform people on an almost daily basis that it will be my birthday soon. There is no way they could forget. I look at birthdays like a special time for me. And I am all about me. Obviously. I hope the weather is like today on my birthday. I like rain in spurts. I like how fresh everything smells and I really hate it when it's too hot. I'm not sure how I was a summer baby, what with this hatred of heat. I work early that morning to get out of here early. Maybe go home and put some make up on and be lazy about getting ready. In any case, I will make it a good day.
