Sunday=Monday

Occasionally, anyhow. I worked yesterday. Which isn't too bad really, cause at least I only have to work with one other person in our department. Usually it's a calmer day. The phone rang a lot though. =( The day started badly. I got to the bus stop on time to catch the bus, and waited, and waited. The bus didn't show up until after 11, when it should have been there around 10:55. At this point, I was almost sure that I would be missing the bus, but I hoped not. We get to the station and my bus is still there somehow. So I ask the guy if I can get off the bus on the other side of the station. Sometimes they will let you. I figured if he would let me off, I would definitely make it. He says..oh, you have plenty of time, the bus driver isn't even on the bus yet. Before we even got to the street to pull out and back in to the station, she was on the bus. I ran as fast as I could, and they shut the doors maybe a minute, maybe only half a minute before I got there. She had p...

Get On To The Bus, That's Gonna Take You Back To Beelzebub.

I've been rather loathe to leave my house most of my life. It's gotten worse lately. I don't even want to walk out the door some days. I don't know if I think the world is out to get me (PARANOIA!), or if I just hate most people that much, or maybe I just hate my "public" clothes. I can wear shorts and tank tops that I would not normally wear outside when I am inside my house. I think the bus plays a large part some times. I ride the bus to work 5 days a week. This equals out to 10 bus trips and usually I have to ride 2 buses each time. 20 different buses in a week, and I start to hate the whole bus system. People smell bad, I even ran into chicken guy on the EMX last week. I hate chicken guy. In the morning, it's usually not so bad. In the evening though? Sucks ass. A lot. People are generally more asshole-y as the day wears on. I avoid taking the bus at almost all costs otherwise. For instance, I was sitting around reading some back history on someone...

Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes

Last week the temperature inside the bookstore was about 110. Not really. I'm exaggerating, as I am prone to do. But it was hot enough to make me stupid. I couldn't think at all. I definitely had "the dumb" going on. Most of last week. Today, I am tired, but at least it's my own fault. Kind of. I just haven't been sleeping well at all. This week so far, the temperature must be around 50 something. (again, I'm probably exaggerating, but I have GOOSEBUMPS) (OMGZ! You guys! Our coffee bar girl has a box on her desk of some product. The outside says that it's "Justin's Nut Butter". HAHAHAHA) I could die. I slammed my finger in the stapler. It hurts me now. I think I should have a bruise soon. Right under the fingernail. In the NEW stapler. It hasn't even lived on my desk for 2 full days, and I've already harmed myself. We got three new staplers on Friday and it was almost like Christmas. The big heavy duty one? Is teh awesome! (I cha...

Could things get any weirder?

My Monday was normal. Tuesday kicked off the weirdness. And it was fine at work, besides my angsty-ness for no good reason. (ok, so I just squeezed out a fart while no one was listening to me, and then this guy was like...the air smells good in here. 0_o I'm pretty sure he means the flowers that are currently assaulting my senses, but I thought it was funny nonetheless.) Back on track... (You hope) I got on the bus home from downtown and I got the last free seat. I was very happy about it. And it actually only happened cause Butters was nice enough to let everyone else on first. I never know what to say to him and each time I say nothing I feel like more and more of an ass. It's not him, I just don't really KNOW him. This one guy gets on and walks towards the back. I kinda notice this out of the corner of my eye. I see it, and dismiss it. I'm busy playing Solitaire on my iPod and not paying attention to anyone else. Then I feel someone staring at me. I look over and thi...

Chicken Guy

The chicken guy is all that is inherently wrong with this world. He just sits there eating his damn chicken and dried oats. Who the HELL eats boiled chicken and dried oats? For breakfast, at that? Doesn't this 30 to 40 year old man realize that you are NOT supposed to eat on the bus? My 7 year old knows better, for fuck's sake. So, I glare and stare and hope that that motherfucker's head will finally explode, but it never happens. He just doesn't give a fuck for the rules, If I broke the rules, my ass would be off the bus so fast, I wouldn't even know what hit me. But still the chicken guy sits there, every Friday on the bus. I HATE HIM! One of these days, I am gonna spit or sneeze on his damn boiled chicken.

Do I know you?

Ok, prolly not a song title. So, here is a very good reason why I hate riding the bus. I caught the bus last night (this is usually a fairly busy route, and unfortunately, a route with some weird people) and some guy sitting across from me stared at me the whole time. Now, I can deal with people staring at me because they want to talk to me, or something. OK, you caught me, I am lying. I DO NOT like it when people stare at me. It is one thing for people to look at you when they are talking to you, and even then I tend to glance off. Not because I am not paying attention, but apparently, I am bad with all that connection stuff. So, he is staring at me, and when I have the chance to glance over casually to make sure I am not just being stupid, I can see that he is staring at me with this look of incredulousness and a kind of horror. Like how could I even presume to sit across from him and get in the way of his staring out the window or something. It was a look like "how did you even...

While the Devil tries to F*** me in the back of his car.

Hey, I even made this song lyric work. I'm feeling in a kind of NIN mood. Mostly because I am screwed. Completly screwed. And not in a fun way, I wish. I am screwed due to the fact that the union of bus drivers has decided that they are going to strike in 10 days. Time to find "alternate transportation" that I don't have. My brain keeps thinking about this, hopefully trying to find a solution, but I can't seem to. I've done a pretty good job holding it together, even though it could mean not coming to work. Well, until someone asked if it was going to effect me and I tried to explain (oh my god, I spelled this esplain to begin with, I feel like Ricky Ricardo...Now, Lucy). For Christ's sake, I don't even have a license. I have a permit. If I could afford a car, there wouldn't be parking by the time I got to work. If I could change my schedule and come in earlier, I couldn't take my kid to school. If my boyfriend couldn't get to my house to w...

Get onto the bus....

So, there is talk of a Strike here. It is kind of freaking me out. I depend on the bus. They haven't given any important information on it for awhile. Apparently, they are going to sit down today and talk it all out again. If they decide to strike, they have to give 10 days notice so that all bus riders can find "alternate transportation". Ok, so some people ride the bus to avoid parking hassles and to keep the air clean. Others have no alternate transportation, so they ride the bus. DUH! I fit into this catagory. Some people make fun of it and say, oh sure, you could walk to work. Sure I could, I could leave my house at 4 in the morning and walk to work to get here by 10. OK, so I might be exaggerating. It might not take that long. I can't drop my kid off at school at 8 and then get to work by 10. Even if I could, my boyfriend couldn't get to my house to watch my kid, so how could I go to work? I can shop without the bus, but I can't go to work without the bu...
