"Spending all your money on me..And spending time on me.. "

It's not my birthday anymore. I had a GREAT birthday party. Oh, the awesomeness. Eileen called me at one point and I always have Ben answer the phone, so she was like is this Desiree's phone? And when he asked who it was, she was like..tell her it's her favorite co-worker. And dude, she's RIGHT AT THIS POINT. It was FUNNY. I got chicken, and people got fed as I sat around like an drunk idiot and Alma and Carrie and Eileen even bought me a CAKE. That thing I didn't do. It was awesome. Eileen pretty much rocks my socks off. In any case, my birthday party pretty much was awesome. It's like once in a million years, the universe aligns and presents me with an awesome birthday, on a weekend, good attendance, happy times, and good food. It turned out to be pretty much perfect. Not too many people, and I had a LOT of fun. The last people left about an hour ago, which is pretty much perfect for me, as I fall asleep early. We had a few no shows, but that's kind of to ...

All the back (OMG, almost a pun) posts, again! Leave me alone, it's almost my birthday!

Monday, July 7th Grr. My back sucks. I can make it through the day when my back is just tired feeling, but sleeping sucks. Or rather, lying down SUCKS. I have to roll around like a turtle just to get off the bed and it hurts when I sit up straight. Then I kind of launch myself off the bed into the wall and hand walk up it. It's lame. I'm sick of it. I'm tempted to go to the damn doctor and get the medicine I hate. I was so hoping I'd feel much better by now. Meh. So I'm tired, I'm cranky, I cry at least once a night when I have to get up to use the bathroom...I'm surprised the boyfriend hasn't kicked me out of our bed. I don't know if sleeping on the couch would be better, or if the bed is better. The couch may be higher off the floor than the bed, which is nice. I dunno. I just wish that the shit hadn't happened days before my birthday. I can't even think about doing anything normally, and I'm already missing the fun time with the boyfri...

This would be why I can’t be bothered to blog anything..

1. I just started a work week that is going to go through next Thursday. Yay for the money. I just hope I can hack it. 2. I've been cleaning while I'm not at work so that I can have my birthday party. Which brings us to.. 3. I tweaked my back something fierce yesterday doing normal stuff. I suppose the shopping the night before; nor the naughty time helped much. But the shopping needed to be done and the naughty time was worth it. So, for an update: Definite party goers : Jenn and family, Tammi (and family?), Eileen, Alma, Jess from work (I know a LOT of Jess'), Cat said she'd stop by (I'm thinking she meant Good Times as she didn't ask for directions. lol!), Sidney, Patrick, Ben and myself. Maybe : Becca (wouldn't that be awesome?), Liz and family (I really hope so!), um...that may be all of my "maybes". No idea: Heather mostly (Don't you love me anymore Heather?). Plus a few other people that I spammed with MySpace comments in the hopes ...

"How can I deal with this, if you won’t get with this?"

So, I'm sitting here bored as hell. Is it obvious? Pretty much. I'd play some online game, but then I'll forget that I'm cooking. Then you can all read about me in the news when my house burns down. Yay. I've just finished my awful awards show. I only say awful cause most people would say so. I really loved it actually, but I'm pretty fond of awards shows. I'm sitting here listening to Fiona Apple, The Offspring, and No Doubt. Quite a mix. That's the lovely thing about my iPod. I can get 900 songs on it and it's all a crazy mix. I've been drinking a bit, if I can't type, that's why. I'm debating answering a message while I'm drunk and completely honest. What I tend to forget is that I should wear my diplomat hat. I really should. Anyhow. Ha. I think I'll avoid MySpace from here on out tonight. Who knows what I might say. =S

YAY!

I'm so very excited, I should have known that people would pull through for me. I forget that tone isn't always obvious via internet, so my bulletin on MySpace probably came across as "poor me", which was not how I intended it. However, in the meantime (and hopefully not out of pity, lol!) people sent me messages saying they'd love to come to a birthday thing. So it looks like I'm gonna have a real party! Certain people I know are out, as they are going to be going to the Country Fair (mainly Jesse, which is sad, but unavoidable), but Jenn wants to come, Alma wants to come, I think I could coerce a few more people from work, and I got a tentative yes from Liz, so that's awesome. I think I could coerce Sidney too, she's pretty awesome about coming to my birthday parties. Plus, I'll have to convince Heather that she must come. Cause she HAS to. =) This is going to be kid-friendly, just so everyone knows. Not that that means it can't be fun, just...

Ben's Birthday/Our Anniversary

In my head, I call it a birthdayversary. Only in my head, as this is completely not fair to Ben. It’s his birthday and he has to share with me. LOL. I told him many, many years ago that we could break up for a few months and then get back together and change the date that way? Ha ha. He didn’t like that idea either. Although I’ve been thinking about it since the end of February. That was when he asked me if he could sleep in my bed that night, and I was sick of sleeping alone so I said yes, with the add on that he had to keep his pants on. Which he did. But a bit of making out happened in the morning. That time when you’re not even fully awake, but all you know is that someone is doing something nice to your neck? *blush* We took it very slow for a bit, but then just dove in head first. People were angry, and I guess people had a right to be, but seeing as how we’ve lasted 7 years, I’d like to think it was meant to be and angry people can suck it. =) This makes year number 7 for us, an...

May have officially lost my mind...

Maybe. Who knows. I offered today to work Saturday's game. At the game. Something I've never done. Will there be stupid people there? Most likely. Hopefully, I can muddle through. The only reason I agreed? A FULL DAY of overtime. I need it right now, and it should be lovely when I get there. 1:30 pm to 9:30 pm, so at least it won't be early on Saturday, and not terribly late since I don't have to work Sunday. Since it's after the new month, I won't see it until payday on the 21st, but still, it should even out birthday expenses incurred for Derek's birthday. Which I still have to make invitations for. Eek. We are trying to figure out how many kids, how long, if we want to feed them, if we should do a movie (like they'll sit still!), and all that. He's allowed one friend to stay the night, and for right now, he says that friend is Josh. I'm going to have to hold him to it soon, as I will also need to figure out how many people so that I can make...

Very tired all of the sudden

The summer brings summer hours. I get off an hour early, ALL SUMMER. Which is great, right? Not so much. I'd prefer to be getting out later right now. I have to wake up earlier and instead of going to bed earlier, I seem to be going to bed later. =( No, it's not smart. I understand that. But Derek doesn't even go to bed until 10 most nights since it's summer. Then he sleeps in and Ben gets to sleep a little later as well. YAY FOR THEM. REALLY. My all caps do not equal sarcasm. Maybe a little. By the time I put the kid in bed, I'm ready to go to sleep myself, but then Ben and I will have no time together. I'm so ready to just lay my head down right here and sleep. Tomorrow I have to get up even earlier, but that means I get out earlier, so that's something. I have things to do tonight, so I can't just go to bed. I need to tidy up the house, and I will apologize right now for my dirty kitchen floor. I am out of Swiffer refills and haven't cared enough ...

Why? (I realize I am a whiny bitch sometimes)

Every time I drink anything today I have had to pee. It's discouraging. I don't like having to pee this much. It makes me worried about pregnancy, when for all intents and purposes, Depo should be doing to worrying for me. Stupid bitch Depo. My long weekend was fun, marred only by my bad attitude when I was cleaning. But, OH is my bathroom CLEAN. Jenn brought me the most awesome tiny ninja ever. It had become the ninja-frog because when you hold it like it's on it's back, it looks kind of like Kermit. Then you flip it and it's a ninja. It makes sense really. What better way to hide than to become a mere frog? Ninjas are sneaky like that. However, I am not sneaky enough to be a ninja. I'm loud and abrasive, and can't look like a frog no matter how I try. In an effort to bring myself out of the birthday funk that came from my family forgetting me (one sister said happy birthday, and it was a comment on myspace. No phone calls, no cards. It's not like I...

Can't even make up my mind

I have no idea what I am doing for my birthday. Still. I don't like not having set plans. I didn't really know what I wanted to do, but most likely dinner at the Mission and then maybe Good Times. I don't know. Now Ariel's car is broken (broken cars suck, I'm sorry Ariel) so maybe plans have shifted. I can still go out for dinner, but since I am taking my kid, I'm not going anywhere with a wait-person. Maybe McDonalds. And maybe Ice Cream. The only problem with that is by the time I finish McDonald's, I will not have room for Ice Cream. I am pre-emptively sad for Ice Cream. Ben suggested Fred Meyer, but I want GOOD ice cream. Like Dairy Queen or Cold Stone. If we have no baby sitter, then no Good Times, but no biggie there. Derek leaves town the next weekend so I can go out and pretend it's my birthday. LOL. I suppose that it's good I don't have any set plans, just in case things go wrong? I'm just not a "fly by the seat of my pants...

I'm not sure how I feel about becoming 27

And I'm not sure why. On one hand, I kind of feel like it's going to be forever before it gets here, and then I realize it's only slightly more than two weeks away. My only real plans are that Ariel is coming down (pending anything else getting in the way. *fingers crossed*) to baby sit as Derek will be leaving for Portland the week after that. I don't have to work that Friday, so I can actually go out that night. And then come home and hang out with Ariel. Like my own personal party, like the pizza hut pizzas. Other than that? That's all I got for now. Derek leaves the weekend after, so maybe I'll make people come here, though that doesn't work as well as it once used to. Maybe I'm too old to have a "party" per se? I'm gonna do something fun. That's all I'm sure about. Derek went out of town this weekend, so I got to go to Sidney's birthday party where I saw George and Marshall, and Dave(s). People who I pretty much only see at...

Hurray for phone calls!

Friday, in between my manic blog postings, Ariel called me. We managed to find enough to talk about for 45 minutes. Made me feel like I was back in high school when I would do things like that. Nowadays, I avoid that phone like I avoid talking to the talker at work. It was very nice to have someone to talk with while the boys were gone and before the Emmy's officially came on. After much talking about nothing much in particular, we figured out some birthday plans. YAY! I have PLANS. She has offered to come down on my birthday and baby-sit. I have the day after off, so that works out well for me. I can at least have dinner, and maybe a drink or two downtown before I head home. And then I'll get to come home and see Ariel! All in all, a pretty awesome birthday. It'll be like my own personal party, like those personal pan pizzas. Hopefully she won't run screaming the minute I get back. Derek has been something else lately. He did well at the Magic thing, which they didn...
