I'm not mauled

LOL. I walked it, and it wasn't really that dark or that scary. I even bought myself a Dutch Bros. coffee to bring with me. And a new cup, so that I could actually bring it on the bus. My new Dutch cup is awesome. That is all. So far, so good for the day. We'll see how it pans out.

Now if I can just manage to avoid the cold that everyone is getting

One Doctor's appointment down! Weight? Down a bit too. Which is awesome. I was all set to blame it on the steroids too. And now I don't have to. It would seem that having nothing taste good helped me not eat as much. Go figure. *smirk* My blood pressure was up though. Probably in response to the absurdly late bus that almost made me late for my appointment. Why is it that when you are in a hurry, people have to get off at every stop? And not just that, but they are take FOREVER to get off the bus. I don't know how bus drivers can stand it. It drives me crazy, I quite literally wanted to scream when I got off the bus and realized I had 4 minutes to get to the appointment that I probably should have been 10 minutes early for. I made it, but just barely. She's prescribed me Psuedoephedrine. The real stuff that you can only get OTC anymore. She's determined it's an allergy and I'm going to go with that. Honestly? I don't have the time, energy, or money to de...

Saturday

Went out for sushi Saturday with Jenn. And coffee! Cause I love coffee. I had my favorite roll and it was either better this time or my throat is honestly better. =) I didn't get Gyoza, cause I thought I would pick up something off the bar that was small and relatively cheap. Save money and stomach space for coffee. =) Well, what I picked wasn't any cheaper, but it was yummy. All cooked, something orange and SPICY in the middle. With cooked eel on top. The eel was YUMMY. Like fish. It was so spicy that it definitely made a impression on my taste buds. All in all a very good date. We talked about this and that and the other things. Shopping, and McDonalds and kids and so on. You all know. Then we hit up the Dutch on 7th street. We also hoped like hell that Mouse wouldn't show up. And it worked! It was strange to sit on 7th and have so many cars go by us. The weather is definitely turning towards fall, cause I started to get chilled. We walked back to her car, she gave me a r...

Meh

I feel like I have about a billion appointments all of the sudden. I have to go back to the doctor Friday, to check up on everything. I am feeling better, not 100 percent, but better. The headaches may not be able to be gotten rid of unfortunately. It still resides, though it's not a permanent thing, like if I forget about it and think about anything else it doesn't hurt. Mind over matter? Who really knows. All I know for sure is that I go back Friday, and hopefully they will have some better news. Or better pills. People seem shocked that no one has taken my blood yet. What's the big deal? I've only had blood drawn once and that was when I was pregnant, so I'm pretty used to doctors not taking my blood. What good is it anyways? Do sicknesses reside in blood? It felt like I was getting a cold or the flu, so what good does blood do? And if it is an allergy, then checking my blood won't help. Maybe I'll ask them to check my blood. Maybe I need glasses and that...

How Much Better Should I Be Feeling?

I think I still have a bit of drainage in my throat. The constant headache? My head actually feels pretty damn good, but I have been home since I started taking the medicine. I work Saturday, so the long weekend to try and feel better has been really nice. Today though? I started sneezing violently this morning around 11, and one side of my nose has been itchy and sneezy ever since. Like the dwarf. It's starting to hurt my stomach muscles, and I'm curious as to what I am allergic too. This is the typical reaction to hay fever, which I believe is a grass allergy for me. Some people are allergic to the trees, but I'm pretty sure it's grass that fucks me up. The guy in the back of us did do something with his lawn so perhaps it was his grass. Asshole. LOL. It's almost a metallic taste, whatever is in my throat. I think the steroids have been good for my lungs though, I feel like I can take deeper breaths. Which helps with all the tiredness I was feeling. I haven't ...

The Love of My Music Life

I always come back around to Poe. I think it was Kate who got me hooked on Poe. She had the CD with Angry Johnny on it, and I always loved that song. Many years later, I finally bought it for myself. Or maybe I copied someone's. I don't remember now. But I did buy "Haunted" and it might be my favorite CD ever. It's weird and has all the voices through out it, but all the songs seem like she's just really letting the world know that no matter what, she is gonna make it through. Guy problems, family problems? Doesn't even matter. I never skip "Wild", it's my favorite song, and damn is it long, but it's fantastic. "I go wild cause you break me open Wild cause you left me here I go wild Wild because the chips are down Wild because there isn't anybody else around Wild when the waves start to break And God knows they're breaking in me now Wild 'cause it doesn't make sense For me to cry out in my own defense Wild 'cause ...

Irony

The doctor gave me steroids. She thinks I'm allergic to something, something more than my common hay fever allergy. I had a hard time believing that because hay fever makes me want to claw my face off, and it makes me sneeze, a LOT. I don't feel like that. Just the sore throat and the headaches. So I got prednisone. My old friend. Hurray. I read everything on the bottle and the paper the pharmacy gave me. There may be side effects, such as bigger appetite, more energy, difficulty sleeping due to the energy, and moodiness. That's only what the doctor told me. The side of the bottle says that "this medicine may lower my ability to fight off infections. Avoid contact with people who have contagious diseases." Which is like half the accounting department. A lot of people were out sick at least one day last week, myself included. The paper says it may cause stomach irritation, hand, feet, or facial swelling, and headaches. HEADACHES? That was part of the whole fucking ...

Can I get a witness?

I tend to over react to things. LOL. That might even be an understatement. I tend to blow things out of proportion sometimes. I'd like to think life is more fun that way, and I'll tell you, I'm rarely bored. I get all butt hurt over stupid crap all the time. For instance, my psyche (ha, I typed psycho first!) smacked me in the face this morning. I was dreaming as I hit the snooze button, and for some reason in my dream Ben told me that our sex life was boring. Thanks subconscious. That's what I needed to wake up to. Fuck you too buddy. But this is really about more pressing matters. See, since I am over dramatic, I look to others for feedback on lots of things. Especially my not quite sickness right now. I haven't taken any Tylenol today, and I'm pretty sure I still feel stupid in the head. I want to go home and take my temperature and hope I have a fever. ANY OUTWARD SIGN OF SICKNESS WOULD BE NICE. I've ran this by a quite a few people and the people who h...

Back to the future

...Or the back to the doctor. Whatever. I don't get to see my specific doctor, but I do get to see a doctor. Friday, cause tomorrow is a bad day for it. They wanted me to come in today, but I would have had to have flown there. Just wasn't enough time for it. Tomorrow is check run day and I have to close Customer Service, so again, bad timing. Friday should be easy-peasy though. I'm off early due to having to be here for a nine hour day (two days in a row), and I've told the boss I'm not giving it up. Since my appointment is at 11, I probably will only be at work for 4-5 hours. Which will help my head. I stayed home Monday and Tuesday and hoped I would feel better, but no such luck. The instant I wake up in the morning, my eyes are BURNING and all I want is to go back to bed. Plus, I'm like instantly fatigued. The headache that had resided behind my right eye for weeks? Has now moved over to the left side. Along with my semi-sore throat. I was hoping that means ...

Mission Sushi - Accomplished

Sidney and I had a date today for sushi. I was really worried about being late, so I left an hour early. It was only as I got downtown that I realized by doing this, I was going to have to sit somewhere and loiter while I waited for her. No problem, thought I. I'll sit by the fountain downtown and wait until it's about time to walk over to 5th street. Except Saturday Market was going on. Which usually involves at least one person I avoid like the plague. So no luck. Then I thought, well, I'll wait downtown and catch the Breeze. Except once I got downtown all plans and thoughts fled and all I wanted was to be AWAY from downtown. So I walked the extremely long way around. Still got there way early. I guess she did too, but neither of us knew the other was there. LOL. I got my favorite sushi, but for some reason it didn't taste as good. Either I'm growing out of that particular obsession, or else my sore throat is affecting my taste buds. I think it is, really. =( Oh w...

I'm a child, I'm a mother

My toe is better today. It's moving a lot easier. It's also a lighter purple. Hurray for that. Ben went out last night to run an errand for us. He left at 7, with the plan that we would eat when he got back. He didn't get home until 11, and I know it was an errand for the both of us, but I'm still a little peeved. Even though it's not his fault. I think I should be allowed to be peeved in general that I had an English muffin for dinner at ten. If I just knew when he would be home, I would plan to make my own dinner. Sadly, he had to take the phone with him and so could not call me. I'm not sure what I was more upset about, the avocado potentially going bad (those bastards are EXPENSIVE), or not getting nachos for dinner. He came in and knew I was peeved, and immediately said something about it not being his fault. Which might have made me more upset. I'm not sure now, but I realize it's not his fault, I can still be allowed to be angry, right? If he hadn...

Sausage Toe (X-posted to MySpace)

This was taken yesterday, when I got home. And today, it's definitely spreading. If I turn into a bologna will someone kill me? I swear that I didn't actually kick the bed, it didn't feel like it looks when I stubbed it. Just a normal "ouch FUCK" pain from stubbing one's toe.

Sunday=Monday

Occasionally, anyhow. I worked yesterday. Which isn't too bad really, cause at least I only have to work with one other person in our department. Usually it's a calmer day. The phone rang a lot though. =( The day started badly. I got to the bus stop on time to catch the bus, and waited, and waited. The bus didn't show up until after 11, when it should have been there around 10:55. At this point, I was almost sure that I would be missing the bus, but I hoped not. We get to the station and my bus is still there somehow. So I ask the guy if I can get off the bus on the other side of the station. Sometimes they will let you. I figured if he would let me off, I would definitely make it. He says..oh, you have plenty of time, the bus driver isn't even on the bus yet. Before we even got to the street to pull out and back in to the station, she was on the bus. I ran as fast as I could, and they shut the doors maybe a minute, maybe only half a minute before I got there. She had p...

Apologies

I haven't blogged in ten days! Not really though, I did blog on MySpace. Which most of you have probably read, so I don't know that I will cross post here. It's all tame, lame, easy stuff since my sisters and cousins can read it. If you want me to cross post, let me know, and I will.
