Not really sure why I'm surprised.....

I have yet to get the “high” blood pressure reading my doctor got. Not in the 140’s as she put it…. I’m not really sure why I’m surprised that she would have put me straight on the meds based on a high reading 3 times. Doctors are stupid. This morning it was down to 124/94 – okay, the lower number is a bit high, but my morning readings seem to run that way. It was 90 yesterday morning. And in the 80s the past two nights. It’s funny, I was so nervous about getting the machine and still getting a high reading. I suppose all the broccoli may have helped (it’s a miracle!), and the walking too, but I still think she was over reacting. No word from doctor yet. The ultrasound guy didn't look disturbed. Hell, no news is good news right? In any case, I am excited about the better blood pressure. Perhaps something I am doing is making a difference, perhaps it was all a fluke. Who cares? I don't mind vegetables and now when Ben gets that look on his face I remind him...

Here I am, rock you like a hurricane....

(hee, my boyfriend would be tickled at my blog subject line.) The cosmos aligned for my birthday... I'm pretty sure I already mentioned that, but I didn't really get into detail. So, let me explain myself. 1. No neighbors right now, as the place next store is vacant and ready to be rented out - no neighbor to annoy, and believe me, it's easy since I love to sit in the kitchen so much and the kitchen echos..plus it's the only wall I share with them. Poor planning there. Or not, cause it's probably a good thing that my bedroom isn't next to someone else's. *grin* 2. I've been making some pretty awesome friends at work this year. Friends who actually like to hang out outside of work, and are totally chill and not crazy. 3. Everyone mingled quite well. I'll admit I was nervous, I've tried to incorporate friends from one area with friends from another area before and it doesn't always work. Most of the time, I have one friend who doesn't come ...

Let's Do This

Well that was a fairly dramatic note to leave the blog on. I haven't been upset or anything, just busy. Just something I had to say, but way dramatic. I'm like that. In any case. I meant to post this Tuesday, when I started it. It took longer than that, obviously. I meant to post this last night, but I got sucked into my book. I was about halfway through it yesterday, now I'm done. I devour books towards the end of them. Good ones, anyhow. On that note, here's my blog post. So, guess what I did this past week? Smucked up my back pretty badly. I fell asleep Friday night, woke up not even an hour later hurting badly. I can't sleep correctly. Or correctly to me, which is on my stomach. That hurts too bad and there is no moving easily, cause apparently, I use the muscle I smucked up to move my legs around in bed. Feels like I'm rolling around like a smucking turtle. I like smuck as a word. Just so you know. So, since it's been better after this weekend, I've...

Better now

I tend to forget that while birthdays are lovely, the whole world does not center around me when it is my birthday. As much as I might like it to. In any case, I got off work (I got a nice package with a cow, and snacks, and cards, and a book, and burt's bees face stuff, hurray!) and took my usual route downtown for the bus. I got on the bus amidst a flurry of people and only realized afterward that myHeather was sitting right outside next to the bus. No amount of tapping on the glass or waving wildly did any good. Much to the annoyance of the kid who was sitting right next to the window, with me practically sitting on his, hers it's lap. Hard to tell with it hiding behind it's hair and hood of it's sweater. I figure to hell with it, but then decide (after the bus has left of course) that it's some wild coincidence that myHeather is waiting near my bus. Maybe she was waiting for me, you never know. I get off two stops later and walk back downtown. Luckily, she was s...

It's my BIRTHDAY

And like usual, my family could really care less. Not even a MYSPACE birthday hello. Nothing from my dad, though it still could come today. If I didn't have Ben and friends and the lovely people I work with, I'd be presentless and feeling rather un-loved right now. As it is, I'm only feeling slightly unloved. I know I should be used to it. I abandoned them for my own sanity, and so apparently, I don't really count. /self pity Oh and I can't afford to shop for new pants. Now I really will end the self pity. Sorry, I had to have a moment of whining and it seems inappropriate to do it at work when they actually brought me in a cake and presents.

Today is the day, we break free.

Today I am 26 and 50 weeks and one day old. Which means in two weeks it will be my birthday. That's really what I was getting at, LOL. You know how people on TV are always having their birthdays forgotten? Not me, I inform people on an almost daily basis that it will be my birthday soon. There is no way they could forget. I look at birthdays like a special time for me. And I am all about me. Obviously. I hope the weather is like today on my birthday. I like rain in spurts. I like how fresh everything smells and I really hate it when it's too hot. I'm not sure how I was a summer baby, what with this hatred of heat. I work early that morning to get out of here early. Maybe go home and put some make up on and be lazy about getting ready. In any case, I will make it a good day. (I'm slightly embarrassed by this and NO ONE WILL MENTION IT EVER AGAIN, just so you know, but it's my blog and I feel the need to share.) Last night I spent entirely too much time checking out...
