Some days it really doesn’t take much to send me over the edge.

Today shall be one of those days. I came in to work already thinking about the weekend and my mini-vacation for which I have almost NOTHING planned =( (but I do get to see Mina and visit Jenn's family plus Ester the wonder wiener! It's a plan! Just not like a vacation plan), and I'm already irritated. It's more that I don't really have plans Friday (and I probably shouldn't spend money anyhow, that whole stimulus thing sure goes fast when you are catching up on bills and crap) and now the boys are adding Saturday to the mix. So..they'll get home by 10 Friday night, and then turn around and leave at noon the next day. Why not just sleep there? lol. I don't begrudge them this. It's great bonding time, and Derek really enjoys it. It frees me up for doing things..unfortunately, I don't hang out with people as often as I'd like while they are gone as life gets in the way. I'd love to have the kind of friend where I could just grab a bottle and...

When the past comes back to bite you on the ass.

I'm going to preface this by saying it's really my own damn fault, I made my bed and all that, but that does not mean I can not bitch about it now on my blog, cause I am a whiny bitch. Ok, end disclaimer. I was having a really good week. Really good. 1. The landlord's husband came over and fixed the front porch light, and the washer. I think there might be a leg missing on the washer, or else I really overload every load. I suppose it's possible. But YAY! Front porch light works again, and the washer shouldn't bang against the wall every time I do laundry. 2. The painter man came over and painted the front door black. I, again, have a bi-color door. This is made marginally better by the fact that it is black/white and not blue/orange. It's very strange though, cause now my door is black. I'm not sure I'm used to it yet. The most important thing is that while he was there Ben asked about the garage door (my house is falling apart y'all, but I don...

Attitude

I'm taking one breath at a time now. Once I get into a really good funk, it's usually hard to shake it off. I was just reading something about how a young girl died from leukemia because of the bombing of Hiroshima. And here I am, whining cause I have it so hard. /sarcasm. Today I shall do my best to remember how lucky I really am. To have this job that I sometimes hate. That everyone I love is healthy and doing well. (mostly, I hope you feel better, Karina) That I'm healthy. That I am doing really damn well for where I've come from.
