"My tea’s gone cold, I’m wondering why I, got out of bed at all"

That’s how I feel all of the sudden. I’m tired and just walking up the stairs made my legs shaky. I think this officially counts as being sick. I’m going to take pills and pretend I’m not. I have plans and I WILL be going to play pool at Good Times on Saturday. Sick or not. I don’t even care. =) I’m kind of hungry, but I don’t even want to make the effort to walk the floor to get food. I called Ben and asked what we should have for dinner and he said porridge. Neither of us is hungry, doesn’t bode well for Derek. lol. Not really of course, we will feed him. We just may not feed ourselves. Maybe my weigh in on Friday will be fantastic, what with my sudden loss of appetite. When I’m not hungry? Sure sign that I’m officially sick. I ALWAYS have an appetite. I’m listening to "L.A. Song" and I’ll tell you that I really like it. I never cared for it much on the compilation but it just randomly popped up on my iPod and I was like...OH! I like this song, what is it? Why am I comparin...

So, I was almost caught up with my MySpace comments,

But my cousin is rocking all over the place. We have great discussions via blog responses. LOL. I’m sorry I stopped responding. I have no real excuse, just busy and every time I get in front the computer (when Ben is not already there) I keep playing Doom. We’ll get over it, but for now we are being spectacular slackers and playing Doom like maniacs. He watches me play and tells me where to go. I gave up last night after the big pink guy got out of his cage and came after me. It’s good that I didn’t blog yesterday, I was full of piss and vinegar. Just totally pissed off. I’m still a bit annoyed. My appointment for my re-up on my birth control was canceled. Unfortunately, they did not have my work phone number and could not be bothered to leave a message with Ben. The only good thing that came from having to leave work early, riding the bus for an HOUR to get there, and then being turned away, was that I ran into Heather from my little three musketeers group of friends in high school. Feeling rather empowered right now...

Though I have no idea if this will make sense to anyone, as I am drunk and typoing a LOT. I'm catching most of it but I caught myself typing "so" instead of "no" the other day, so I am rather embarrassed. Way to ruin the empowerment. LOL. I made it all the way home. I navigated the cab home, I even pulled the bike out of the back. I feel weird all the time about my knowledge of alcohol, yet it saved me tonight. It's saved me before, but tonight was awesome. The party that I felt so weird about in the beginning? I'll admit, I had very weird thoughts about going to Paul's birthday party, but I wanted to do it, I wanted to be able to say I did it. He's just like some old friend, that's all. It was nice to see him and hang out with him, but I didn't feel hurt, I didn't feel sad, it was just weird and full of memories. Ben actually got drunker than me somehow, which seems rather rare. I'm usually the stupid one, but I was good this tim...

Ben's Birthday/Our Anniversary

In my head, I call it a birthdayversary. Only in my head, as this is completely not fair to Ben. It’s his birthday and he has to share with me. LOL. I told him many, many years ago that we could break up for a few months and then get back together and change the date that way? Ha ha. He didn’t like that idea either. Although I’ve been thinking about it since the end of February. That was when he asked me if he could sleep in my bed that night, and I was sick of sleeping alone so I said yes, with the add on that he had to keep his pants on. Which he did. But a bit of making out happened in the morning. That time when you’re not even fully awake, but all you know is that someone is doing something nice to your neck? *blush* We took it very slow for a bit, but then just dove in head first. People were angry, and I guess people had a right to be, but seeing as how we’ve lasted 7 years, I’d like to think it was meant to be and angry people can suck it. =) This makes year number 7 for us, an...

Better now

Maybe walking was good. I can see again. Hurray! And I have dinner. They didn't have the mac and cheese I like, so I got some potato thing. Also, MUSHROOMS. I've browned them, filled them with bleu cheese and popped them in the oven. I need to use the bleu cheese somehow. Last time I bought it, I couldn't get enough and kept eating it, but this time I just haven't been eating it. Which is dumb. It's expensive. Hopefully the mushroomy, cheesy goodness will make my tummy happy. My very own appetizer! LOL. I think I just wanted to saute something. That's what I get for watching the Food Network all day.

I think I was too lazy today..

I laid in bed and watched TV. Now my eyes won't focus. Like, I can read this, but it's really blurry. Awesome eyes, awesome. I have to go to the store, but I think I'll be ok. It seems like a short vision effect, as opposed to long vision. I can't quite focus on myself in the mirror. But I could read the computer just fine last night, so perhaps I read for too long yesterday and TV didn't help? I don't know. The hypochondriac in me is certain I'm going blind. Cause I'm sure that just happens over night. /sarcasm The rational me knows that my eyes are probably just over stressed and perhaps getting away from screens in general and going to the store would be best for me. I can see the TV from here fine, and I'm almost as close to it as I am the computer screen. Ha, my eyes are allergic to the mirror and the computer, that's got to be it. All in all? A lazy, probably boring night. Boys are gone and I was hoping not to have to wear a bra today at al...

All My Dreams Are Never Quite What They Seem

Ed. Note - I was going to put that in quotes from the Cranberries song, but it says "all my dreams" and then "what it seems"...how can it be ALL MY and then IT? It's bothering me. Yes, I'm a grammar nazi like that. But only some times. I dreamt of a gorgeous baby girl last night. Very, very darling, but very, very sick. (I'm not a comma nazi) I don't know how sick, or why, but she wouldn't wake up to eat, only if she had a dirty diaper. And then an ex co-worker of mine was supposed to come over to my house to pick me up, so I was trying to clean this baby girl up quickly. And it was my old house, like from when I was a teenager. But shit was everywhere. Literally. Ha. It's not really surprising that I'm dreaming of babies. I feel lately like I'm surrounded by them. It's not a bad thing, though it's difficult, cause I want to hold all these babies and they aren't really mine to hold. I think it's interesting that what ...

OMG! The most fantastic thing happened to me today.

The Daddies are going to be at the WOW hall in April. THE WOW HALL. A venue where I saw many, many shows, but was ALWAYS too young to visit "downstairs" when my friends went. They haven't played there in years, probably since before I was old enough. And I'm 27, so it's been a DAMN long time. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe I fell out of the show habit after Derek was born, but this feels right. I'm buying 2 presale tickets tomorrow, one for myself, one for my Heather. Of course. I can't go without my Heather. Well, I would have, but it would have been SAD. It's hard to believe, but it's true. I'm so damn excited. Did I say that already? LOL.

Pondering something that isn't even about me, specifically...

I know, I know, will wonders never cease? I was just sitting here thinking about "people smart" people and "book smart" people. My ideal office? A bunch of "people persons" in the front, a lot of book smarts in the back. LOL. That's not to say it's mutually exclusive, you can be both, I like to think I'm both. I have just enough knowledge to make me dangerous *evil laugh*, but I KNOW I have people smarts. I know that each year I get better with people. I may dislike most people, but I manage to be nice to people, I manage to bite my tongue when I want to say..you're wrong, na na na. It's just not worth it in the long run to be "right" all the time. =) It just seems like in my little accounting world, we have people who are one but not the other. And we love our book smart people, they really make the wheels turn, but sometimes they have no clue how to deal with the others. Makes it hard from day to day. We actually had a scre...

Weekend Update With Tina FeySWSNBN.

What little I had of a weekend anyhow. I worked today, but I get next Friday off and have a three day weekend. It's the getting to Thursday that sucks. Actually Sundays are mellow. The phone hardly rings, I only have to work with one other person from my department, and today it's Mike. He's mellow, laid back, basically he's totally awesome to work with. I went out with Tammi for a beer and pool date yesterday. She had issued the invite since it's been a hell of a February, or rather it WAS a hell of a February, all done now. I ate spinach and artichoke dip and I liked it..0_o. I'm so picky, it's hard to get me to try things, but Tammi was encouraging and so I ate it, and it was GOOD. We also had the best bar fries ever, at Good Times. They always have the best fries. Cruz came out with us and it was very entertaining. He tried to show us how to shoot pool, but it was an uphill battle. I am truly lame at pool, but I always have fun playing. =) Turns out he k...
