Turn it up

So, I had to leave you all with something before I left for the weekend, but I might post Sunday.
I have spent the last hour listening to my own personal SKA mix. Loving it, it freaking rocks.

So, on it is Save Ferris. One of the songs is called "Turn it up". I love it.

The chorus goes like this.....
"I turn it up, when I hear that song.
I turn it up, and I sing along.
Got to hear that song again DJ."
And repeat.
It is so freaking appropriate for when I am waiting for the damn DJ to play my favorite new song that I don't have on CD.

It also has "Mistaken", which is another Save Ferris one and wonderful.
The best part of that is ....
"As I blame myself again, wondering what I did.

Say you're just confused, but that's really no excuse.

Not exactly happy music, but there is a good beat and I love it. OK, all. I am out. Yay, for the weekend.

Seems like I liked Save Ferris but I can't remember what song they did..

Well, there is "Mistaken", which I am guessing is not the one you are thinking about.

But, they also did a cover of "Come on Eileen". It is pretty good. I have a few friends who have only heard the cover and always look at me funny when I put on the original. I myself like both versions, but there is no accounting for some people's tastes.

I might have to stop the anonymous comments. Apparently the only people who leave them are going to form snap judgements of me based on how I look, and since I can't go and read their blog or anything, it really doesn't seem far, since I can't even try to read their stuff and see if they are reasonable people. Today is the day, we break free.

Today I am 26 and 50 weeks and one day old. Which means in two weeks it will be my birthday. That's really what I was getting at, LOL. You know how people on TV are always having their birthdays forgotten? Not me, I inform people on an almost daily basis that it will be my birthday soon. There is no way they could forget. I look at birthdays like a special time for me. And I am all about me. Obviously. I hope the weather is like today on my birthday. I like rain in spurts. I like how fresh everything smells and I really hate it when it's too hot. I'm not sure how I was a summer baby, what with this hatred of heat. I work early that morning to get out of here early. Maybe go home and put some make up on and be lazy about getting ready. In any case, I will make it a good day.
