Much funness
So what if that isn't a word...
"Whateva, I do what I want..."
I just wanted to tell y'all how much fun I had yesterday.
I decided, since I was getting a ride, that I should wear the "Sandals from hell" and show off my pretty pink toenails.
Yep, the're pink. They've been pink since Saturday night when I got drunk and painted them with 3 coats. I dripped on the carpet too, but that's not the point. We were gonna take a pic to show Coffeehouser how pink it really was, but we got sidetracked.
I tried really hard to do Ben's nails too. But, he wasn't going for it, even though I told him it would be really cute. Derek's woulda been done if he wasn't sleeping. Cause I am mean!
I went to Jenn's house for the 4th. Derek and her daughter got along REALLY well. It was nice, and good for him to get outta the house. Her son is so cute, still basically a baby, but also able to communicate. Although I must confess, I've been outta practice and didn't understand a lot of it. He was trying so hard too. Her dog was very excited, but calmed down considerably as the night wore on. Until the fireworks of course. I actually feel bad for all the poor doggies who were freaked out last night. Even though I'm not a dog person.
That might be the most time I've spent with Jenn. Definitely the most time I've spent one on one with her. We sat outside and watched the kids in the sun...I might actually have a tan :)....and talked....well, I talked. I talk alot (not like you guys didn't know that). I hope I didn't annoy or bore you.
The food was yummy! Those Bailey's milkshakes were damn good as well.
Ben and Ariel tried to sleep, but I was having none of that. It had finally cooled off and they just needed outside air that was nice and breezy. I poked Ben and rubbed my foot on Ariel's butt. She kicked me! She thought I was one of the kids, so all is forgiven.
And then it was time for fireworks....why are there sparklers? My kid kept freaking me out, he really fears nothing. It's not encouraging, I feel like that commercial where the mom keeps saying...It'll be a miracle if he makes it to 10, and so on.
I always seem to think that I am gonna get hit by the fireworks. I don't know why, maybe some mean boy cousin threw one at me when I was younger, I don't know.
A LOT of people decided illegal was the way to go. They are pretty, but in well populated areas? with houses around? I hope no one's house burned down. At one point, we walked down to a corner and could see fireworks from 4 different angles. My kid was antsy...He just wanted to keep walking around in the dark, and coulda cared less about the fireworks. Apparently, instead of a present, I should just let him wander the streets at night. It makes him happier.
Got the boy home and off to bed barely before midnight. I stayed up until 1:30. Feeling tired, but not too bad. The Boys were both asleep when I left the house this morning. Oh, to be a kid again at summertime. :p
Thanks again Jenn, hope you were as amused as I was with the whole extravanganza and my kid. He can be a real pain in the ass sometimes.
He is leaving on Saturday, not sure of the time. Ariel is coming over Saturday to help me celebrate my birthday a little early. More on the later.
