Strangeness

I often read a couple of different books. One at the house, for the bath and being bored. One at work, for lunch time. Maybe even one in the back-pack.

I'm crazy like that. I know what's going on in each different one. I don't get confused. I've got it down to an art.

This means that I finish books one right after another, fairly quickly. I just finished The ABC Murders - Agatha Christie.....Poirot! Who doesn't love a good CLASSIC murder mystery. I have to say that I didn't expect the turn at the end. But that's what a good book does right? It doesn't give it away.

The other night....maybe this morning? I finished Tattoo Blues. One of the ARC books. I picked it up cause it said TATTOO in the title. Then if course, when I read the back, I saw that her one of the characters names is Desiree. Even spelled right. I had to have this book! It was actually a REALLY good book. I finished it pretty quickly. I loved this, specifically.

"Ha! Nothing I like better than a girl who goes for her goodies first thing in the morning."

and

"Hey", she said, "I'm Pambellina. Who the hell are you?"
"Pambellina?"
"No, I'm Pambellina. You'll have to be somebody else."

Anyhow, it's pretty funny. I wish I had black hair like the Desiree in the book. But I know that I would look dead with dark hair. I'm too pale.

Oh well.
