Feel the rain on your skin

I realized today that I've finally started to like the rain. I used to hide under umbrellas and hoods. Sometimes I still do.

But more often, I just let it hit me. I don't wear make-up so it can't run. My hair might get a little wet. But it'll dry.

My shirt was SOAKED, but it dried as well.

I suppose I DID wear my hood today. But that's just because I don't really relish the water dripping ALL over my face. I like to breath and stuff. Also, I like to see.

I'm not sure when I started liking the rain. I am a water sign, so maybe that has something to do with it. Maybe I like water that much. Enough to be rained on and not care.

I still hate wet feet.

Grapes and African violets hate wet feet too. You're in good company, sweetie.

I like rain -- but I prefer a warm, summer rain.

Off to read your other posts -- haven't been by in a few days.

Oh -- I tagged you today, too, because you are the Queen of Lyrics and I knew you wouldn't let us down! (Well, I HOPED it, 'cause, what the hell do I know?)

Zilla - I think I'm more appreciative of this rain, because it was SO much colder without it. When the rain comes, it warms up.
Which means no snow, which I REALLY love.
I shall do my best not to let you down. I do have a secret weapon though. It lets me look up song lyrics. So, I might not TRULY be the queen of lyrics, but I'll do my damndest.

Recyled Dreams - We have one umbrella. We had two, but someone stole it off my porch. Cause they are lame bastards. But that one was getting old anyhow. I just don't like using it. Most of the time there's wind with the rain anyhow and then I just worry about the umbrella. My hood tends to fall off anyhow. Which means if I really want it on, I have to hold it on. And water drips into my sleeve. :)
I figure, what the hell, I'll dry out anyhow.
