River
I've been watching the river. Every day, when I go over the bridge.
Water is awe inspiring. RUSHING water is just more magnificent. I watch it as long as I can. From the bridge, down through Glenwood, when I can see it between the buildings, past the buildings, when I can see it in it's full glory.
A couple weeks ago, the whole parking lot at the park under the bridge was a river. Or at least a pond. It's gone down some, but not all the way.
We've had a lot of rain this year. I'm sure it was more than last year. I just really love how fast the water goes when there is SO much. When it almost reaches the banks, it's really something else.
Glad I don't live down by there, but SO glad I can see the river.
Even the tiny stream just down the road is higher. It's nothing like the river, but it's still a little thrilling.
Beyond how dirty the water is. What with shopping carts and shit in there.
Fucking people. Gotta screw up nature.

I like looking at the river too. It almost seems like an indicator of how our year is going to be. Hot, dry, humid...
Karina - I want to go rafting almost.
Not sure I could handle the raft myself, but I had a LOT of fun at Sun River when they piloted.
It's too bad that place is so expensive. It's a great vacation spot. The benefits of being 16 and knowing a girl who actually vacations. Even if she was crazy. I liked the vacation.
