My lazy ass (SOAP OPERA WARNING)
Watched a BUNCH of GH and OLTL on Monday. I needed to catch up and I'm almost all the way caught up! Before today, of course. Now I have another two hours to watch.
First of all, on One Life....
I'm not sure who I should be voting for. Sometimes Nash makes me HATE him, but Tess is entertaining. Cause she's not so wallflower. It's nice to see Jessica get mad like a NORMAL person.
Dorian rocks all over the place. She's always been the person everyone loves to hate. She's mellowing at least.
But PLEASE GOD! Can we get rid of Mr. Spencer Truman. I HATE him. He's a pompous ass and he's ruining the whole Todd/Blair thing. I really want them to get involved again. They are truly made for each other. Both just devious enough that you still have to love them. But at the same time, it's like....wth? Get a grip.
Of course, if they did, there would be no soap opera. It's all about plot.
Second, we have GH.
I LOVE the new Carly. I thought I would hate her, but she is awesome. I'm worried cause I heard there was going to be a new Sonny, and I don't think I can deal with that. He's too hot.
I'm hoping that Nicholas and Emily get back together, cause I need more scenes with the hot prince. He's a FRICKING prince! What more could you want?
Dark, brooding, sensitive, occasionally wears eyeliner.
Yumm.
I'm hoping (though I don't think it will happen, and I understand Georgie's point) that Dillon and Georgie get back together. I've been invested in this damn relationship since Sage tried to break them up and I hated her. SO MUCH. I think I actually felt what Georgie did (would have??) when he gave up his virginity to Sage over some misunderstanding.
Granted, he seems to misunderstand Georgie a lot, but they are CUTE together.
And I HATE Lulu. I know I shouldn't. She's Luke and Laura's daughter! I shouldn't hate her above all people. But lying to get what you want? That pissed me off.
And Diego is just a hoodlum.
As for Helena, well...you have to love to hate her. She wouldn't get away with so much if people didn't also like her.
I'm hoping that Em can put a stop to the damn nanny thing, but I'm sure something DRASTIC must happen first.
I'm glad that Sonny is finally dealing with his Bi-Polar disorder, let's just hope it doesn't make him boring.
And can we possibly get Jason and Sam back together? While I don't think he should be her "whole life", I am going to retch and fast forward if they throw her in with Ric. Like I fast forward when Maxie and Lucky are on. Why are Luke and Laura's kids suddenly going SO DOWNHILL? I'm angry. Liz deserves MUCH better. Damn him.
Finally? I'm LOVING the flashbacks to Stone's AIDS drama. That's good storytelling, with a purpose even. While Robin may be high and mighty, I like that they address her AIDS status every so often.
AIDS is still important. I wish they'd throw in Lucas with the gay storyline some more. Where'd he disappear to all of the sudden? And what was with the foreshadowing after Manny's death? Don't get me wrong, I'm SO HAPPY HE'S DEAD, but why act like someone else is gunning for the same people and then just drop it?
Or seem to drop it? By the time they get back to it, I won't care anymore.
All in all, I'm fairly happy with the both of them right now.
I LOVED Mary J Blige's stint on OLTL.
Talk about a big name! Most of their musical guests, it's like who?? Or oh....that band in the eighties? Not really anything geared towards my taste usually.
And I do have to applaud GH's use of music that I LOVE. I've downloaded a few things that I heard from there. And others...like Poe! Wild? When the beginning notes drifted into my subconscious, I got all EXCITED. It's frustrating when there is a song that I can't catch enough of to find the lyrics and know who the song is. I swear one of them recently was in another language and I LOVED it, but I'll never hear it again now.
Another one could NOT be found to download, but I was able to save the web address and play it with Windows Media Player. It's sad that I can't find it and have it forever. I live in fear of the day when it disappears from the internet and I'll be screwed again.
