Kidlet and random crap.
My kid will be home before I know it. That's the way it always goes. All of the sudden, it's time again, and he is home.
I have yet to clean his room up. I swore I would. I still have 4 WHOLE DAYS! I can do it. I really can.
Basically, he has a crapload of toys that he really doesn't need. He is ALWAYS bored, so he can't really play with all those damn toys, right?
I have to call him tonight and talk to him, then start on the cleaning. I don't want to do it all Friday night, after work, after shopping.
That would be CRAP.
(edit)
They are bringing the baby with them when they come visit, so I get some baby love. I talked with Karen today. She's doing pretty good, but babysitting! Eek. Having a baby in the house, just one baby to pay all the attention to, is fantastic. But having two babies under 6 months? She's tired and I don't blame her. She's half convinced that she might not want to have another kid. That once is enough. I totally understand.
I have just enough money to pay my bills, but with no squiggle room. So, nothing can be unexpected. (like Jake trying to get out of child support, the little I do ask of him) Ha ha.
But that's what happens with my birthday. I'm like..I can spend money when I want. It's MY birthday.
Meh.
It's stupid.
I AM getting better at not buying anything and everything I want. I actually have a budget. It just gets tight when rent is due. I always MEAN to save money from my first paycheck, but it rarely really happens. Those school loans are killer. Someday I MIGHT have them paid off. Not anytime soon, of course.
I shudder to think what my loans would've been like had I gone to a 4 year college. As it was, I went to LCC for 4 years, albeit sometimes part time and that last year was only to get back to spring term for that accounting class I screwed up on. Talk about burn out.
Actually, the last year was kind of a cake walk. I only needed to actually pass that Accounting classes, plus some "work" credits.
I took some fun classes and perhaps goofed off more than I should've. I would've stayed at school forever if I could've.
Or at least until everyone else left, then I would've been bored. Though some leave, some come, right?
If I'd gone the next year, I would've had to deal with Erycka. Which would not have worked out well. I would've just avoided all my friends so I could avoid her.
And I might not be where I am today, so really. It was all fate. Jesse and I talked about religion the other night.
Stupid huh?
Except we agree. We both agree that we think (maybe in my case, more like hope) that there is SOMETHING pushing us the right way in life. Like Fate. Not necessarily god, but something that means that all things happen for a reason. Even growing up as I did, that happened for a reason. I would not be me today, and I kind of like me, for the most part.
Some days are harder than others, but over all, I have a really good life. Really good friends, a really good job, a really good boyfriend.
Here I go, starting with one subject and COMPLETELY veering off into something else.
I'm good at it.

I think it gets really easy for some people to just blunder through life figuring things will work out, and not really take any real responsibility for such though.
Like you- you took life by the horns and got yourself a degree, and though you believe things happen for a reason, you didn't sit around waiting for it to happen to you. You're really inspiring :)
Have you given any thought to mentoring pregnant teens?
(I feel all sparkly and smart now though)
I've seen some stupid teenagers trying to raise kids. I think I'd get too frutrated and just be like...LOOK! Do it MY WAY. That wouldn't go over real well.
Derek is the reason I got my degree. While much of my life prepared me for becoming an adult and supporting myself (I will be DAMNED if someone supports me), getting pregnant was when I was like...HOLY FUCK! I am fucking up in life, I need to get a college degree. I'm gonna have a kid and I don't want to work at McDonald's forever.
=)
He's inspiring.
