You are so good at keeping me company.

(completely o/t. Did you know that the song that goes with the above lyric is used in a Disney movie? What's funny is that it is called "Relating to a psychopath", but when she sings the line about her "manic-depressive state" they totally gloss over it. It's ok to be a psychopath, but NOT ok to be Manic Depressive. Thanks for the lesson Disney!)

Last weekend was fantastic!
I went straight from work Friday (and I was allowed, nee encouraged to leave work early last Friday) to Tammy's. The idea was that I was going to accost Ariel there, sadly things did not work out that way. Not sadly, I spent quite a bit of time just chit chatting with Miss Tammy. I even got to know some of her work buddies. (everyone knows mine, Tara, of course) They were all very nice to me and had that sense of humor that appeals to me. A very sweet baby made the whole thing that much more entertaining. Other people's babies are wonderful. I hung out long after the party was over, I hope I did not overstay my welcome? Ben and I went home around nine.

Saturday was the OCEAN. The entirety of my day was Ocean, or at least that's all that registered. LOL. Jenn and I headed out between noon and one and hit up the Dutch for coffee. No plans, but we found a very nice beach where I took the opportunity to run into it. Ok, maybe not running. But I did go in quite deep. Definitely enough to take my breath away with the coldness. I got splotchy spots on my legs from playing in it! That is my skin, sadly. It gets red and splotchy easily. Happily, it tends to go back to normal fairly quickly. Jenn took pictures of me in the Ocean, and hurray for that since I do not get many pictures of me. Go figure.
After my amusement (I'm really just a big kid sometimes) with the cold, cold water waned, we headed to the Sea Lion Caves.
I haven't been there since before Derek was born, that's for sure. Getting a picture of them was pretty hard, as you are not allowed to use the flash. We found a cute bird, or he found us, and he brought a little fish to his family. Getting back up the hill? Not as easy as getting down, and once we had gotten out of the elevator, we greeted by a VERY long line of predominantly Asian people. We thought for sure there would be a tour bus up there, but there was only a Grandma who got left in the back
seat of the car. No windows cracked either people. Take care of your Grandmas!
Before the descent 200 feet below, we went out on one of the decks and people would have got quite an eyeful if they were looking. Thankfully the large amount of people happened after the wind practically blew my shirt over my head. I'm not kidding. I bet bra was showing. Why do my breasts always get involved in these things?
Now just writing it out, it doesn't sound like it took all day, but really it did. Not having plans was wonderful, I got to play, we were spontaneous and hit the Sea Lion Caves and I even got home close to the time I said I'd be home. Not that Ben was there or would have cared. He had went out to Magic, so he didn't get home until 9:30 or so.
We watched Smokin' Aces, which I thought was pretty damn good for being an action flick. I really like Alicia Keys though, so perhaps that is why I was so amused? She was such a bad ass in that movie. Oh and Jeremy Piven is cool. I called it in the beginning, cause they warn you about nothing being what it seems, so I was like...well I bet that he is this guy and not that guy. And I was right. I don't like it when I can call a movie, but there was still enough plot twists that I liked the ending.
Sunday I figured I would treat Ben to breakfast since I had skipped town Saturday. We found an IHOP coupon (buy one get one free baby!) and walked over the Springfield station to catch the bus for free. I walked over there sans over shirt, so that I could let me arms tan. Just a tank top! It freaked me out, I'm not exactly comfortable with my arms, but I would like them to be tan dammit! So they are a bit tanned after the coast and the walk.
We got seated next to a very loud kid, which was strange since we did not have the very loud kid with us like usual. LOL.
Let's see, I ate too much, so we headed for a walk around downtown to let things settle. We were going to meet a friend there, but he wasn't going to be there for awhile, so we just walked in a circle, and when we couldn't decide where to go, we both looked at each other and decided on the library.
And here is where I get sappy. I find it so hard to believe that I've found someone so in tune with me on some things (others? Not so much. LOL). Just sitting around the library? Something I have always loved to do. It's quiet, and the downtown library is MASSIVE. I pulled out "Death: The Time Of Your Life" and glanced through the parts that I liked most. You know, anything involving Death. I'm not morbid, NO WAY.
LOL. Then I pulled out Stephen King and started to re-read 1408 in preparation for eventually watching the movie. I didn't finish before we got the call to meet said friend, but I just really enjoyed myself. And Ben seemed to as well. I really, really love just sitting there. I used to do that when I was pregnant and needed to kill time, but stay in Eugene and not go home. I had not been in the new library. It makes me wish I could borrow from them. It's so much bigger than the Springfield one.
We also took a bit of time and wandered into CD/Game Exchange. Where I found Phantasmagoria. That one I posted about? Yeah, it was going to take me a THOUSAND HOURS to finish that fucking game. I totally cheated. Let me just say that I have no patience for role playing games. They are all too complicated.
The girl moved way to slow, she didn't seem to care at all that her husband was getting freakier and freakier by the minute. At least it was a girl character. But seriously? If my husband started acting like that? I'd drive the fuck away. The only place she could drive was to town. To get more clues. And my computer didn't like the game from 1995! My computer should be able to run a 12 year old game dammit. The sound would cut out and I would miss things I needed to know. But I soldiered on, I was determined to see the end. Maybe it would all be worth it. It wasn't.
And it really got irritating when I had to put in the sixth disc to start all over at the beginning of the last day. Then switch after doing the busy work, but every time I put the disk in, my computer wanted to install it, so everything would slow down and if I didn't switch between screens fast enough (and I had to use ctrl, alt, del each time!) then the game would freeze up and I would have to quit it and start at the beginning of the day again.
After finally beating it (the seventh day is the most adventure you get in the whole game), I madeasked Ben to take it back for me. I tempted him with Taco Bell.
Hee.
They gave us a full refund, cause he was truthful. He just said it wasn't necessarily defective, but it didn't work on our computer and they gave him the money back. Once upon a time I played this game at Creepy Ex-boyfriend's house. I'm sorry, I mean his mom'sroommate's house. He told me how to play so that I didn't die too many times (which is really the most entertaining thing in the game. I forgot that the demon pushes her eyeballs out and slowly crushes her head!), and I completely blame the game for what happened next. Tuesday (my Monday) I came into work and I needed to cover the customer service break. He offered to have me cover it at 10 or 10:30. I decided to just be done with it and do it at 10.
Which just happened to be the time when creepy ex-boyfriend had to come in with his girlfriend.
It's strange. He always trails behind her, and we never make eye contact. Part of me is really happy that we both pretend not to know each other. But part of me is weirded out by how we act like we never saw each other naked, like he never tied me....wait. Never mind.
He is exceedingly creepy, and his only real redeeming factor was that he taught me not to be so damn repressed in the bedroom. In any case, I avoided looking straight at him, but I did not avoid telling EVERYONE in the office about it. Maybe in hopes they would save me? They didn't. They only went out to look.
Oh sure, taunt the guy who thinks he is a real vampire. I remember being so worried when we went out in public. Worried that something would set him off. I left a Daddie's concert early just so he wouldn't make a scene. And somehow I calmed him down that one time when a drunk girl threw pancakes at him in IHOP.
It's not a good thing to worry about your boyfriend freaking out the "normals" and maybe even biting someone. I mean who knows? He followed me on his bike one night, and just circled Heather and I, because she didn't want to hang out at the park all night while he tried to feel me up.
I don't blame her. Who wants to watch that? One time he promised me a present if I made it all the way up Spencer's Butte, and I was all excited and busted ass to get up there, and his "present" was that he would finger me in public at the top. Some present. I was pissed.
I've gone off on a tangent. (something to edit when I post to Myspace. Not gonna tell mom about this one)
Here's another one. When I was in line at the Sea Lion Caves, some old lady chomped on her popcorn practically in my ear and touched my ass. I guess she needed to be RIGHT behind me.
You know, in case someone was in such a damn hurry to see the Sea Lions that they might cut in front of her. I don't do well when people have to get all up on me in a line.
Then Wednesday?
I ran into Jake's dad. It's apparently a week where I run into everyone that I have no care to see. Yay.
Most of the rest of the weekend was same old, same old. But shopping Sunday after drinking was fun. I sure didn't feel my feet when we walked after walking all day. Shopping at night is awesome!

We loved having you and Ben stop by. The girls that I work with really do have a sort of offbeat, really cool sense of humor.
Thanks for coming over!

YAY! I'm glad that we were amusing, and not irritating. LOL.

I really like the girls you work with! I wish that all the girls I work with had a wonderful sense of humor.
