It's The Little Things.

That really annoy me.
We seem to need to have this desk fan on all the damn time. I get it, I'm usually hot, but I don't like it blowing RIGHT AT ME. My hair gets all up in my face, my bangs actually hit me in the eye often. It hurts!

I've been lax with the blogging. But so have most people. It's summer and maybe that's why? Or perhaps I'm growing out of my blogging craze. I like the idea of something to look back on. Something being out there, maybe even after I'm dead, but blogging every day doesn't really seem to be working. I get little ideas in my head, and then they flutter off. My life is pretty fucking boring most of the time. Especially now that the kid is out of town. He's a great comic relief.

There are still little things that amuse me. Accountants, and especially female ones? Completely neurotic. I know, I am one. I have my days, but for the most part I can laugh it off. It's just so hot and cold from day to day around here.

Ben is job hunting and not having much luck. I feel bad, even though there is nothing I can do. I remember how fucking discouraged I got, and he doesn't even come home and have a good cry like I did back then. He interviewed here at the Bookstore and I was all excited, sure that somehow it would work. He's not heard anything, and I'm too afraid to ask here at work. I don't want to appear like I expect them to hire him, and I'm not sure how much they can divulge. He thinks he bombed the interview, so maybe he was right? They send out rejection letters, but maybe they are just waiting until they see who else they interview? I'm trying not to nag, and just let him go where he is going to go, and maybe once in awhile offer a helpful (hopefully) hint. All the places I think of that he could apply at, he already has. It's annoying. He's nicer and smarter than people give him credit for since he is so quiet. He KNOWS customer service, he listens to me bitch about people giving customers attitude, and he KNOWS. He would be awesome as a cashier, but I can't convince anyone of that, because I don't want to feel like I got him the job here either. What if it didn't work out for whatever reason? People could end up not liking me, or feeling like I brought it on by bringing him here to work.

Where is my happy spirit from Wednesday? Maybe I need my pink hat? Maybe I need to have 2 beers (and another when I got home) to make myself happy and carefree? I'm sure that says something about me, but right now I don't care. That's the way I roll.
(why do I feel like my arms are freezing? Is it the A/C or is it that I do have a fever?)

Sounds like you really are having a bad time lately. Hope you had fun at the fair at least.

Eh. Like I said, I have days. We did have fun at the fair, for the most part. For some reason, that's exactly when my stomach decided to be very not happy. Before I even ate fair food. It was sad. =(

And by the time I would run to the bathroom, my ass was too shy to just get on with it. So stomach cramping was fun. Port-o-potties? Not so much fun in such situations. I was fine by the time I got home.
In retrospect? We probably could have gone out and had dinner and saved money and I would not have had to run so far to the bathroom. When I left work, I felt fine. Get to the fair, totally not.

But the funnel cake was yummy. I will admit that.
Also? I hate the fair free bus thing, cause everyone rides the bus, but few of those people even know how. So everyone is all crazy and not standing or sitting right. Who knew that it takes knowledge to ride the bus the right way? LOL.
I just hope that today is a very good day.
