And now, time to relax...
Or something like that.
I got a LOT done this weekend.
In between rounds of this new game that I love
I've got 6100 points or so once. That's the best I've done.
Bear with me here, cause this is going to get ramble-y.
We did a TON of work on the yard. We have this plastic crap underneath the dirt that is supposed to help keep weeds down. HA! We let it go to long and not most of the has holes through it where the weeds came through. I always thought I wanted a yard, what I really wanted was a lawn.
We got the grass down to manageable again. My gnomes will not be lost wanderers anymore! They can guard the rosebush with impunity.
Until it grows again.
I helped get the clippings in a bag, even though I'm playing Russian Roulette with my allergies. I WILL NOT TAKE THE MEDICINE UNTIL I HAVE TO.
I got other things picked up, and I started pulling up the plastic crap. Over by a stump, in a little area where it was covered and not likely to have stepped on, was a garden snake. A HUGE, BIG, SCARY garden snake.
HA HA HA. Laugh if you want. I HATE snakes. Once my little brother's snake started to get out and I went to put it back and it wrapped around my arm. All I could think was BOA CONSTRICTOR. Not Garden snake. I'm pretty sure I haven't been the same since. I HATE SNAKES. Derek has no such problems and just wanted to see it. I jumped back and got goose bumps, and really did my best not to touch the plastic crap again. WHO KNOWS WHAT COULD BE HIDING UNDER IT?
Ben pulled it back and the snake scurried away and Ben was like..see, it's more afraid of you than you are of it. I didn't really think that was true, but whatever. At least the snake got out of my yard.
I'm so very sore though. I worked more on the house Sunday. I knew that I needed to. I did most of the dishes and cleaned the sink and toilet in the bathroom. They really needed it. Ben worked more on the yard, and then we gave up.
We watched "Night At The Museum" Saturday night with Derek. It's a funny movie. I would recommend it to anyone with children.
I told you it would get ramble-y.
I wonder why people put out CDs with special tracks in different countries? Is America not good enough for special tracks? Luckily, the Internet informed me of two extra Pink songs that you don't get on the album Ben bought me. They are "Fingers" and "Centerfold" and I love them both. Fingers is a bit dirty, but the perfect song for any girl who's ever had to "take care of herself". You all know what I mean, I'm not going to be more vulgar. (today)
Centerfold is more along the lines of "see what you had?" and I like it, though not as much as Fingers. I love the beat, I love the lyrics, I love how sassy Pink is.
Now you all know.
Maybe you'll like them too? You never know. They are the songs I can't seem to stop playing on my iPod this week.
I'm taking Friday off. I'm EXHAUSTED, and my house isn't even really clean yet. I need to do more. So I decided to throw in a vacation day. Hopefully, I can avoid spending all day playing that game.
I work Sunday, but the weekend after that? It's "Not the mama" day, as Jenn calls it. And it's turned into an overnighter! I'm SO excited. I could actually see the ocean during a sunset! Karina, Jenn, Tara, and I are all going on Saturday and staying overnight. I really can't wait. An overnight coast trip where I am FREE to do as I please. No kid to worry about. No crazy people to worry about. I just need to remember that playing in the water in the dark is not a smart idea.
