"Ew, it’s all sticky!"
I've concluded being a test subject for the day.
They put electrodes on me, and a weird shower cap type hat with electrodes on it. Held in place with ultrasound gel (that's what she said..ultrasound gel), they seemed to stick pretty well .
It took the full three hours, and now my freshly washed hair is all sticky. =(
Before they did that though, they had to dry my hair first cause it was still wet, so they got out the blow dryer. It was like I was at a hair salon! lol.
Then I had to sit in a chair and watch while they flashed words at me, and had to answer questions about the words. It was kind of surreal, being in a soundproof room by myself, pushing buttons, knowing that someone was watching me on the camera. Made me a bit self conscious.
I had to take breaks between each ten minute stretch, so the girl would come in and talk to me during those to make sure I took enough of a break.
She said I was in the top 3 of all the people she had seen already at getting the answer right. Way to puff me up, compliment my intelligence. =)
Even if it's just watching words and somehow letting my subconscious pick up the flashing words, it make me feel smart. =)
They flashed fast, it was crazy. I missed some and then I'd get all irritated with myself, but I couldn't go back and fix it or anything.
I know the real test was to watch my brain waves, but now I'm wondering if I wouldn't have done worse if I'd thought about it too much, and had seen the answers better. Maybe I should just let me sub-conscious think for me more often?
Heh.
Off to shower, I'm all goopy and sticky. =(
I was potentially going to go see Mamma Mia with Heather and her mom, but I didn't get a confirmation on the time, and now I think that's good, cause my hair is gross. =(
Plus, I must eat something and drink some water, I'm developing quite a headache from not eating lunch.
Oh guess what? I'm prescription drug free today! I didn't take the stomach bleeder last night just cause I thought I'd check and see if I even need the anti inflammatory anymore. My back doesn't hurt, so I guess I'm ready to be off them. The only thing that sucked last night was that I woke up to a major charlie horse in my calf. BOO! I HATE it when that happens. It took what felt like forever to stop, and I just whined about it the whole time. It's a good thing my boyfriend loves me so much. =)
