My Head Hurts
So, last night, I pretty much convinced myself that I was dying.
Or at least going to have to have my leg amputated.
My leg had felt weird for a bit. Like ultra tender, like it was bruised, and it kind of hurt to walk on.
When I go undressed last night, I noticed how red it was. Kind of like a rash. I
don't really know how to explain it and pictures don't do it justice. It's not a bumpy rash, but it hurt to touch and felt bruised.
I figured, what the hell, I'll try to show you with pictures. This was taken this morning after I woke up, I did not take any last night.
This one came out a lot better (worse?) good lord. That looks like crap. Anyone know what it might be?
Besides anything that requires amputation, cause seriously, I'm pretty sure it won't require amputation.
Again, it's probably just my skin, saying fuck you to the cold ass weather. It looks a LOT better now.
And it was all around my leg, almost a perfect circle.
It's very splotchy, and just plain fucking weird.
My brain automatically jumped to something along the lines of diabetes and how people can lose their LEGS. Cause I've heard of that.
Freaked me out.
I spent too much time looking at it, touching it carefully, and crying. Almost convinced that it was just going to have to come off.
And not knowing if it was bad enough to warrant a trip to the doctor, or even the hospital, cause what if it would be able to be saved, but only if I took care of it LAST NIGHT and not today? And then I realized that I don't have a fucking car and unless I want to walk to the hospital, after calling the doctor and getting a referrral, or pay for an ambulance, I was going nowhere.
When Ben very innocently joked around, and asked me if it was gonna fall off, I started bawling. I was too worried and that was exactly what I had been thinking. That my leg was gonna come off.
By the time I fell asleep, I was already thinking about how I would be able to adjust to life in a wheel chair and would I hate everyone? And myself? Would I be able to get in and out of cars? Would I be able to get up the step at my house? Would I be very sorry that I had not used my legs for all they could be used for, and angry that I couldn't use one now?
When I woke up this morning, my head and throat hurt, but that's nothing new. I've been battling some grossness and I keep coughing, so it's no surprise that my head and throat hurt. At least I didn't spin that into something having to do with my leg.
I called in, cause DAMN DOES MY HEAD HURT, and checked out my leg.
It looks better. It's still a little mottled, but it's not swollen, it never was swollen, so I figure that's a good thing. It could just be my skin rebelling against the cold weather. And it doesn't hurt to walk on, so I figure I must be doing good.
I hate the doctor and it doesn't appear to be getting worse, so instead I shall sit here and keep an eye on it. And get paid for being home sick, which is pretty fucking awesome when it comes down to it.

It looks like what Bill had, and that's what it turned out to be.
I would go with you or drive you if you need!
