My Weekend
I decided that since we had the extra kid, and Derek was being very amused by Josh, I would clean the kitchen. Josh rocks. They went outside, they wanted to color. They didn't even watch much TV, they just were amused. It was awesome.
I tackled the VERY daunting kitchen. Put my IPOD on, sang with it, being careful to censor myself. My music is not entirely kid friendly. *shock*
I moved the microwave, it had collected years of cereal underneath it. I moved things around. Got all the dishes done.
It was an uphill battle.
And then I realized that I was running out of time. And I needed to get my stuff together for Birdie's party. And I still needed a shower.
It was insane.
Sorry to be such a pain in the butt for everyone involved. Like making you come get Josh, Tammy. I hadn't even thought it through. I just wanted to make sure Derek had his "Josh-time". And thank you, once again. Also, tell Cruz thanks, sorry to make him drive around.
I'm a pain.
I was late to the party, which I think I explained before...it was just a comedy of errors.
Got home Saturday night and just passed out. I mean, I blogged and then passed out.
So much for staying up late. *smirk*
Sunday, I got up and started on the kitchen again. In hindsight, I'm glad I did it in two installments. I'm sore enough thank you.
Did the dishes, again, and starting wiping down everything, so I could sweep.
Realized after sweeping that I had not bothered to replace the Swiffer pads. Therefore, no AWESOME mopping. I had to use a regular mop! *shock*
And Lysol. I kept thinking Pine sol, but it was not. It smells like Iodine. And it even says right on it that if using for a prolonged period, to use gloves. Eep.
It smelled bad, but damn that floor is CLEAN.
I bleached the sinks, and the dish drainer. Who knew dish drainers got so gross? It's just water, dammit.
And after dinner, I did the dishes, again.
Until I got back from my unintended date with ThatGirl, it was SO clean. Then we made poppers. Meh.
Nothing ever stay clean. Hopefully Ben will do some dishes. Seeing how MANIC I was about them yesterday, he might get the hint. Sometimes he does, sometimes he doesn't.
Anyhow! ThatGirl called me and asked me out for a few drinks last night. It was fantastic. The bar was mostly deserted, which I love. It's quieter and more awesome.
I went out, even got ID'ed. No one has mentioned anything about it being expired yet. Which just blows my mind. I mean...????
I thought that an expired ID would be bad. So far, so good.
Not that I intend to never renew it. I will, just not right now. I over spent taking Derek out to the movies. I miscalculated my checking account. *shock* I know! It does happen. Accountants are not immune.
