Weekend Update With Tina FeySWSNBN.
What little I had of a weekend anyhow.
I worked today, but I get next Friday off and have a three day weekend. It's the getting to Thursday that sucks. Actually Sundays are mellow. The phone hardly rings, I only have to work with one other person from my department, and today it's Mike. He's mellow, laid back, basically he's totally awesome to work with.
I went out with Tammi for a beer and pool date yesterday. She had issued the invite since it's been a hell of a February, or rather it WAS a hell of a February, all done now.
I ate spinach and artichoke dip and I liked it..0_o. I'm so picky, it's hard to get me to try things, but Tammi was encouraging and so I ate it, and it was GOOD.
We also had the best bar fries ever, at Good Times. They always have the best fries. Cruz came out with us and it was very entertaining. He tried to show us how to shoot pool, but it was an uphill battle. I am truly lame at pool, but I always have fun playing. =)
Turns out he knew the bartender, so I think we ended up getting kind of a sweet deal on what we spent. I expected it to be more, but hurray for knowing people.
We were there from 1:30 until 4.
And we have been issued an invite for next week as well.
Ben even got invited! LOL.
And I think he'll even leave the house with me this time, if we find ourselves a babysitter. Going in the middle of the day was genius, as we didn't have to fight with anyone over the pool table and everyone was really on top of service. It gets quite packed there at night, and sometimes it's even hard to find a place to sit, not so during the day, we were even able to change our minds and sit somewhere else halfway through! =)
He's going to call Jesse today, and see if he can babysit next Saturday. We'll see.
Maybe I'll have to consult other options.
Tammi is babysitting Derek while Ben and I go out to Paul's birthday party on the 15th, we'll probably do dinner first as an homage to our anniversary and Ben's birthday, and then go to their house for a bit. We're hoping it all works out. =)
Ben and Derek and I started a game of Risk last night and I just have to say that Ben is not above being pouty when losing. I thought it was just me, and I was always telling myself to "grow the hell up, it's just a game" in my head, but Ben does it to.
Makes me feel better, though I'm not sure why he doesn't want to lose, the boy hardly ever loses anyhow. He's probably going to win this one, unless Derek makes a comeback. I have no continent, so I only get like..3 guys each time and it's just not enough to do damage. LOL.
Oh well. Maybe this one won't be a win. I'm having an easier time with that lately. Maybe I really am growing up. Heh.

So, all in all, it's shaping up to be a good March, we have plans for the next two weekends, I'm actually feeling quite social, and life is going great right now.
Now if I can just get through the rest of the day (on lunch now, obviously), and maybe go home and make Tara's CD like I meant to last night.
