Not really sure why I'm surprised.....

I have yet to get the “high” blood pressure reading my doctor got. Not in the 140’s as she put it….

I’m not really sure why I’m surprised that she would have put me straight on the meds based on a high reading 3 times. Doctors are stupid.
This morning it was down to 124/94 – okay, the lower number is a bit high, but my morning readings seem to run that way. It was 90 yesterday morning. And in the 80s the past two nights.

It’s funny, I was so nervous about getting the machine and still getting a high reading. I suppose all the broccoli may have helped (it’s a miracle!), and the walking too, but I still think she was over reacting.

No word from doctor yet. The ultrasound guy didn't look disturbed. Hell, no news is good news right?

In any case, I am excited about the better blood pressure. Perhaps something I am doing is making a difference, perhaps it was all a fluke. Who cares? I don't mind vegetables and now when Ben gets that look on his face I remind him that if I don't eat veggies I COULD DIE. IN BED, NEXT TO HIM. While he's sleeping.

A creepier thing I cannot imagine. So then he gets over it. Today my lunch is a turkey sandwich with baby greens and cucumbers. Mayo too, but whatever. No cheese, so I'm not gonna feel bad about no mayo.

It sounds slightly decadent, baby greens and cucumbers. =)

Talked with Derek yesterday, he's enjoying himself but says he misses me.

Also, it was my birthday! RIGHT! Of course.
Like a stupid moron, I went to the bar next to work in response to so many people saying they would meet me there and buy me a drink and I got ONE CO-WORKER. Plus a Danielle (my favorite ginger), who bought me and Ben multiple drinks and mostly made up for almost no one showing. I am still sad and I don't know why. This happened last fucking year too, you'd think I'd fucking learn.

Friday night get together at my house went about the same, but I did get most of the people I adore (sad to miss you Ariel) so it wasn't too bad. At least I wasn't trying to call it a party, then I would have been really sad. We bought pizza and I was gonna make salad and Ben cut up the watermelon. Now we are eating so much watermelon but I will be damned if it's gonna go bad.

I got my neighbors and Heather and my Jenn. But I'm not gonna lie and say I wasn't sad that others didn't come and no one even said sorry about it, they just didn't show.

Le sigh. Sometimes I wonder why I'm not more popular and then other times I realize I'm too lazy. I used to just up and go see people for no reason, just to have coffee. I used to MAKE them hang out with me. But then I got too apathetic and tired and decided to just stay home. "Making" people hang out with you doesn't really make you popular and then I start to feel like a nuisance.

Coast trip Friday was pretty fucking awesome though. Pics to come. And more story too, but for now must get back to work. It's audit and crazy times around here. le sigh.

Well I was a bit tired after the coast, but I did stay up and not pass out too early.
