Start at the beginning
Right?
I was going to start at the first guy I had sex with, but my insecurity, boy problems, and general relationship craziness starts before that. I may; however, roll the first two boys into one story. They are semi-related.
I was always boy crazy. My mom would tease me about it to no end.
In middle school, I liked this guy David. David lived in the same apartments and we had some of the same friends. I don't know why I decided he was crush worthy, just a tiny blond boy but I did like him.
And he seemed to like me too. We made plans to attend a dance together.
Which I didn't go to in the end. I got myself so worked up that I was quite determined he was going to stand me up.
Trust issues much?
Instead I stood him up. He showed..my friend Michelle went and reported back. She told him that I was REALLY sick and maybe even embellished more about how sick.
Did he believe her? I don't know..we didn't hang out much after that.
Cut to a few months later and his cousin asks me out. Really out of the blue, just found me in the apartment complex and started sending messages around that he wanted to talk to me.
And suddenly I had a boyfriend. One who was in 8 grade! (I was in 7th)
Did part of me think he was going to eventually get back at me for standing up his cousin? Yes. A very real part of me. But it was middle school and I was excited to have a semi-popular boyfriend.
We'd hang out at lunch and hold hands. When he went to school...he was kind of a delinquent.
The usual middle school drama reared it's ugly head.
I heard from a friend, who'd heard from someone else...blah, blah, blah..that David had told his cousin that I wanted to break up. I went looking for David to give him a piece of my mind. Did not find him. To this day, I'm not entirely sure that that rumor was true.
The boy's names was Rogers (yes, with an "s"..my mother had a field day with that) and he was my boyfriend through the end of 7th grade. We only held hands and I started to get a complex about how that probably meant he DIDN'T WANT to kiss me.
See? The craziness?
Then we moved to Oregon. That's how we broke up. See, he didn't have a phone, we didn't have a phone, we hadn't shared numbers...I hadn't seen him since school had gotten out anyhow..though he did have a way of just showing up.
So..I guess technically, I'm still going out with him. Haha.
Aww..to be young and unworried about most of the real relationship pitfalls.
